Called For More with Krista Pettiford

Hey Beloved! Your calling is more than the work you do. In the world, your calling is your vocation. In Christ, your calling is an invitation from God to have a relationship with Him, to become who He called you to be, do the good works He created you to do, enjoy the life He planned for you. Join Krista Pettiford each week for a conversation that explores how to live out your calling through every season of life with clarity, confidence, courage, and authenticity. Krista is a mom of four young adults and an empty-nester. She is an award-winning author and speaker and the host of the annual Called Conference. Krista led the women’s ministry for more than twelve years and still leads prayer ministry at her local where she's been a member for more than twenty years. Krista has a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Southern California Seminary and an A.S. in Computer Science. By day she is an IT Manager for a large corporation in Southern California where she lives near her children and family.

In this episode, I'm chatting with Sarah Lopez.
I love Sarah's spirit. She is a blessing to everyone who knows her. Her joy, humility, and love for people and God are contagious.
Sarah is leading a workshop Saturday afternoon at the Called Conference on ministry in the marketplace. If you are an entrepreneur you won't want to miss this session.
Sarah and I chatted about how we overcame the fear of not being capable of doing what God called us to do through faith, prayer and applying God's word to our circumstance.
We also talked about how God uses marketplace ministry to build the kingdom of God and many other things. It's really a refreshing conversation I think you will enjoy.

I'm back with a new season. In this episode, I'm talking about the importance of creating a personal calling statement.

Your God-given calling is comprised of your relationship with God, your identity in Christ, your God-given purpose, mission, and vision, your values and how they will guide you.

You walk in your calling by cultivating a deeper relationship with God, embracing your authentic identity in Christ, being a good steward of the life, relationships, gifts, and abilities God has given you and doing the good works He created you to do.

A personal calling statement integrates who you are and God's plan for you and helps you state focused on what really matters and what God called you to do.
